Today I had a great surprise. I went to Bali Discovery Mall in Kuta and found a shop that had e v e r y t h i n g I needed when I gave birth (seven months ago). Besides nice basic clothes for babies of all sizes, there were washable diapers, accessories for newborns and new moms and more for reasonable prices. It also had everything a mom needs for pregnancy and birth. It brought to my mind the immense frustration I endured when searching for all the things I needed and not finding any, especially the cloth diapers. I’ve moved to Rome almost two years ago, but I spent scarcely six months in the eternal city that still looks quite hostile to me. I like well organized public means of transport, walk and bicycle friendly streets, organic and healthy stores neighbourhood – non of these are to be easily found here. But I’m persisting in my quest. Few are the places that made me a happy new citizen: Farmers Market, Villa Pamphili and Biopolis.
